✨ Make Your Own Shining Star Lantern! ✨


Join us at Elswick Community Pool & Gym for a magical creative workshop led by artists from Moving Parts Arts!

You’ll learn how to craft your very own light-up star lantern using willow wood — perfect for children aged 6+, teens, and accompanying adults. ⭐

2 FREE sessions available (booking essential!):
📅 Monday 8th Dec — 4:00–6:00pm
📅 Tuesday 9th Dec — 1:00–3:00pm

🍽️ Food will be provided at each session.
📌 Please note: Each person making a star — including adults — must book an individual ticket.
👀 You can see an example star lantern on display in our foyer!

Once your lantern is complete, you’re invited to join the Star Procession at Enchanted City — a brand-new Winter Festival bursting with art and unique experiences.

🎄✨ Wreath-Making Workshop Success! ✨🎄
 
Last week’s wreath-making workshop at Elswick Community Pool & Gym was a huge success! 🌿💐
We were joined by 17 lovely ladies who each created their own beautiful wreaths under the guidance of the incredibly talented Elif from @blossomboutique.ncl
. 🌸
 
After getting creative, everyone enjoyed freshly made scones, quiche, and hot drinks from our wonderful Cafe@Elswick ☕🥧 — the perfect way to end a cosy and festive morning.
 
The feedback was amazing, and we’re thrilled to announce that we’re already planning a similar workshop for December during our Christmas Festival! 🎅✨

🌟 What a Day at Elswick Community Pool and Gym! 🌟

Yesterday was a fantastic day full of fun, community spirit, and celebration here at Elswick Community Pool and Gym! 🎉
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to take part in the activities – the weather wasn’t on our side, but that didn’t stop anyone from having a brilliant time!

This special day was all about celebrating the amazing work that’s been completed as part of the decarbonisation scheme. A big thank you to Equans for managing the works, and to Newcastle City Council for supporting the project through government funding. It was great to have you with us to mark the occasion! 🌿🔧

We were also celebrating the recent reopening of the centre, and it was lovely to see so many familiar faces back enjoying the space again.
A big shoutout to all the brilliant organisations who came down to help make the day so memorable – we couldn’t have done it without you!
We hope everyone had a great time – here’s to a greener, brighter future together at Elswick Community Pool and Gym! 💙
