Elswick Community Pool and Gym

On 7 September 2019, we opened the doors to a new chapter for Elswick Community Pool and Gym. With a passionate new team working alongside our dedicated voluntary charity board, our goal was simple: keep this much-loved community hub alive and thriving.

From day one, local residents and supporters have stood with us—determined to protect this beautiful building, offer affordable health and fitness, and make sure the pool and gym remain a place for everyone.

It hasn’t been an easy journey. The pandemic tested us like never before, but thanks to our incredible board members, staff, and community, we came back stronger, more united, and more determined than ever.

Our mission is clear: to create a safe, friendly, and inclusive space where people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and genders can enjoy fitness, wellbeing, and connection. We believe everyone deserves equal opportunities to get active, feel good, and be part of something bigger.

Today, we offer a wide range of sessions and services to meet our community’s needs—whether that’s gender-specific swims, adults-only sessions, inflatable fun and parties, family swims, fitness classes, personal training, swimming lessons, or even a relaxing massage.
